Robins deny rumours linking them to Chelsea whiz kid

Bristol City have denied reports that they are considering a loan move for highly rated young Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham according to the Bristol Post.

The 18 year old forward is a product of the academy set up at Stamford Bridge and has been tipped by many to make the biggest impact at the West London club by a home grown player since John Terry made his senior debut for The Blues back in 1998.

Abraham is expected to be loaned out to a Championship club next season to build some experience of first team football although Bristol City have denied rumours linking them with a move for the youngster.

The Robins finally completed the permanent signing of striker Lee Tomlin from AFC Bournemouth last week while the club have 19 goal Ivorian striker Jonathan Kodjia on their books. Manager Lee Johnson is continually looking to bolster his squad however the club have declined to comment on Abraham.

After lifting the FA Youth Cup with The Blues last season, Abraham was handed his first team debut in May when he was introduced as a substitute during a 1-1 draw at Liverpool and the youngster made a further appearance for the club at Stamford Bridge one week later.

The England Under 19s striker clearly has a bright future in the game and it is likely that he will make a huge impact in the Football League next season.
