Galatasaray to make move for Aston Villa forward

Fotospor reports that Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray are interested in signing Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew. They could make their move later in the week, and give the Championship side a question to answer.

After relegation from the Premier League, several Villa players have been linked with a move away. Ayew becomes the latest name to join the likes of Jordan Amavi, Brad Guzan, Ashley Westwood, Scott Sinclair and co.

The 24-year-old was one of the very few shining lights for Villa last season. He fired seven goals in their dismal Premier League campaign. He made the move from Ligue 1 side Lorient this time last year for just over £8million. TalkSPORT reports that Villa may consider selling him for a fee of at least £9million.

Premier League duo AFC Bournemouth and Stoke City have also been briefly mentioned. However it remains to be seen if they will make such a bid.

Ayew may a name for himself with hometown club Marseille and also when on loan at Sochaux. In July 2014 he joined Lorient where his 12 goals attracted the intentions of several European clubs. Aston Villa won that respective race, but could potentially lose him after only a season. If Ayew did leave, it would mean he has played for three clubs in the last three seasons.
