QPR boss Hasselbaink names squad for Dutch tour

QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has named his 26 man squad for the club’s pre-season tour of The Netherlands the West London club have announced.

The Hoops will spend nine days in Hasselbaink’s homeland before returning to England next Tuesday. While on the tour, The R’s will face Dutch clubs PSV Eindhoven on Friday and FC Groningen next Monday in two pre-season friendly matches.

Hasselbaink has named a squad made up of both senior players and up and coming youngsters who will benefit from the experience of being included in the senior group.

The 26 man QPR squad for the tour is as follows:

Goalkeepers – Matt Ingram, Joe Lumley, Alex Smithies

Defenders – Jake Bidwell, Steven Caulker, Darnell Furlong, Grant Hall, Osman Kakay, Cole Kpekawa, Joel Lynch, Nedum Onuoha, James Perch, Jack Robinson

Midfielders – Ariel Borysiuk, Michael Doughty, Nasser El Khayati, Ben Gladwin, Karl Henry, Massimo Luongo, Michael Petrasso, Axel Prohouly, Olamide Shodipo

Strikers – Tjaronn Chery, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Reece Grego-Cox, Sebastian Polter

QPR have announced that striker Jamie Mackie will not be risked and will remain in London to recover from surgery at the club’s training base while Sandro, Leroy Fer, Daniel Tozser and Matty Phillips have all not been included in the 26 man squad.
