Earlier today it was announced that the Crystal Palace striker had signed for Newcastle United for a fee in the region of £10million.
As with most transfers, fans of both Newcastle United and Crystal Palace took to Twitter to discuss the transfer of Dwight Gayle.

This fan seemed extremely happy with the signing of Dwight Gayle, and has even set him a goal target for the coming season.

As well as welcomings from Newcastle fans, there were some heartfelt messages from Crystal Palace fans, who seemed sad to see their striker leave the club.
Crystal Palace’s winger Yannick Bolasie wished Dwight Gayle all the best on his move, also predicting the goals would flow for the striker.
