Norwich agree £2 million fee for Reading midfielder

Norwich City have had £2 million bid for Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola accepted, according to TeamTalk.

Reports emerged yesterday which stated that Reading had already rejected two bids for the 21-year-old, but now it appears that the asking price has been met.

Previously, clubs such as Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Celtic had all been linked with a move for Tshibola, but the Canaries may have won the race for his signature.

The midfielder made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Royals last season before having his campaign cut short through injury.

Tshibola is also an England international, having made his debut for the under-18s side in 2013.

Despite picking up an injury around the midway point of last season, the youngster is now back to full fitness.

New Reading boss Jaap Stam will be hoping that he will be available to reinvest the transfer fee, if the midfielder does leave the club, as he looks to build a side to push up the Championship table next season.

Reading finished the last campaign in 17th place in the Sky Bet Championship table having accumulated 52 points, this lead to manager Brian McDermott being sacked by the club for a second time.
