Brentford chasing young Danish defender

Championship club Brentford are hoping to sign promising young Danish defender Lukas Tabro according to Get West London.

The Bees have strong scouting links with the Danish Superliga with Brentford owner Matthew Benham also owning Danish champions FC Midtjylland. Danish stars Lasse Vibe and Andreas Bjelland already play their football at Griffin Park and reports indicate that another Danish player could be on his way to West London.

Lukas Tabro is a 17 year old centre back who currently plays his football for Odense Baldklub.  Brentford are thought to be huge admirers of the player and The Bees may look to field the defender in their new look academy set up which is currently going through a huge restructure should they secure his signature.

Brentford endured a turbulent 2015/2016 Championship campaign which saw the club suffer a mid season loss of form before The Bees recovered to end the campaign strongly, finishing in ninth position in the table.

The Bees conceded a whopping 67 goals in their 46 Championship fixtures, the division’s eighth worst defensive record and manager Dean Smith will be looking to eliminate his side’s defensive frailties in his first full season in charge at Griffin Park by adding some quality defensive players to his squad over the summer.
