Top 5 Championship fans that will cover most miles next season

3) Cardiff City – 8,261 miles

Not many will be too surprised to know that the Bluebirds will be forced into plenty of travelling next season. Obviously they are based in Wales, a different country, so even the close games will still need to see them cross a bridge or two. Bristol City is their local match, but they’ll be spending a few hours on the roads next year.

They were actually one of the lowest in terms of away travelling numbers last season. In fact, on average, only Charlton Athletic and MK Dons only took fewer supporters away from home in the 2015/16 season.

Now managed by Paul Trollope, they’ll certainly be hoping to improve upon their largely poor away record from last season. That was the main reason why they ultimately failed to reach the play-offs. They won only five times on the road under Russell Slade, and ex-Bristol Rovers boss Trollope will be very keen to improve upon that.
