Brighton interested in signing West Ham youngster

Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in signing West Ham United’s Elliott Lee according to a report from Teamtalk.

The 21-year-old striker, the son of former Hammers player Rob, came through the famed West Ham academy but after failing to break through into the first team, he has been released by the East London club and is being forced to look for a new team.

But despite being released, Lee is still a highly rated young striker and that has attracted plenty of attention from Football League clubs. And the team that seem to be the most interested in signing Lee are Brighton.

After the Seagulls failed to clinch promotion last season and saw James Wilson return to his parent club Manchester United after his loan ended, they are looking for a new striker and think that Lee could be the perfect addition to their squad.

However Brighton aren’t the only team that are currently looking at Lee as a possible signing. Many other Championship and League 1 teams are currently scouting the young forward though they are currently unnamed.

Lee only made two appearances for West Ham after coming through their academy but did have several loan spells at teams such as Luton Town and Colchester United.
