Fantasy Football puts QPR midfielder off management

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry has admitted that playing Fantasy Football has made him think twice about football management when he hangs up his boots according to Get West London.

The popular game is played by thousands of football fans across the UK each season and sees fans build their own football teams within a financial budget. Players are awarded points for their performances with most Fantasy Football competitions offering prizes to those who have created the most successful Fantasy Football teams.

Veteran Hoops midfielder Henry admits that he is a serious player of Fantasy Football but with the player nearing the end of his career he believes that his lack of success playing the game has clouded his ambitions of becoming a manager in the future.

“Every time I pick my team and players aren’t performing, and I’m asking how they’re not doing it?” Henry told Get West London. “I think I’m nailed on to win but it’s not for me.”

“All this makes me think I don’t want to be a manager, even though I’ve got a lot of respect for them. I’ve never wanted to be a manager but that cements it.”

It is understood that Henry is close to agreeing a new contract at Loftus Road after it initially looked like the player’s days in West London were numbered.
