Charlton chasing Crawley Winger

Charlton Athletic are trying to obtain Gwion Edwards from League Two Crawley Town according to recent reports from South London Press.

Despite the fact the Addicks have failed to appoint a manager, they are still pushing ahead with their new transfer policy and are hoping to appoint a manager as soon as possible.

The 23 year old is a former U21 winger for the Welsh International side, and currently still has 12 months on his contract, so Crawley could ask for a fair price.

Charlton must learn from their experience with George Moncur, the potent midfielder at recent-relegated Colchester United who rejected Charlton’s bid after it not being substantial enough according to the Us.

Edwards has made 45 appearances for Crawley, scoring a total of 8 goals, and could be an attractive target for the club and the future manager taking over, in order to build, restructure and return the Addicks to the Sky Bet Championship.
