Tigers join the race for prolific Millwall striker

Championship Play Off finalists Hull City are the latest club to be linked with a summer move for Millwall goal machine Lee Gregory according to the Hull Daily Mail.

The 27 year old Sheffield born striker has been linked with moves to both Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion over the past few days and it has now been reported that Hull City have also sent scouts to watch the player.

Gregory started his career as a youngster at Sheffield United but the player failed to make the grade at Bramall Lane and found himself playing non league football with Staveley Miners Welfare.

After scoring 37 goals during his first season in non league football, the player moved on to Mansfield Town. Gregory struggled to make an impact at Field Mill and the striker was loaned out to Glapwell and Harrogate Town before a successful loan stint at FC Halifax Town where the player netted five times in 10 appearances. Gregory joined The Shaymen on a permanent deal in December 2010 and helped the club secure the Evostik Premier Division title and a Conference North Play Off Final victory during his time in West Yorkshire.

Gregory scored 89 goals in 135 games for FC Halifax Town and the player signed a deal with London club Millwall in June 2014 for an undisclosed fee. The striker has scored 36 goals in 78 appearances for The Lions to date and Gregory is expected to attract plenty of interest from rival clubs this summer.
