Player Ratings – Sheffield United 2 v 0 Shrewsbury Town

Scottish pair Ryan Flynn and Stefan Scougall scored early on to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory for Nigel Clough’s Sheffield United, over a struggling Shrewsbury outfit.  After trickery and pace from new signing Scougall, he played a lovely weighted pass in from the left flank for Ryan Flynn to hit first time past Chris Weale.  Then Scougall turned scorer.  A storming run forward from captain Neill Collins and then a pass to the nippy newbie turned into a speculative effort from 25 yards.  Scougall’s shot bounced awkwardly and fooled Shrewsbury keeper Chris Weale, ending up in the bottom corner of his net.
