Leeds United boss amongst favourites for Peterborough job

2) Steve Evans – 3/1

Leeds United manager Steve Evans has emerged as one of the frontrunners for the vacant manager position at Peterborough United. He always seems to get linked with the club every single time, but following Massimo Cellino’s announcement that Steve Evans would be leaving Leeds, he’s become one of the favourites to take over at the ABAX Stadium. He’s got previous records of earning promotion from League One, when he took Rotherham up via the Play-Offs.

1) Grant McCann – 2/1

The former Posh midfielder has been assistant manager to both Dave Robertson and Graham Westley. He’s also enjoyed a successful few games in caretaker charge after both managers were sacked, winning three and drawing one. His status at Posh is what makes him the favourite. He’s idolised by the fans, admired by the players, and the Chairman certainly loves him. Whether or not he’s ready to take the hot seat remains to be seen. He’s an inexperienced manager, but team spirit in the changing room would be higher than ever if he was to be appointed.

Posh Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed he will take his time in appointing the new Posh manager. Could it be one from this list, or will a complete dark horse emerge, and hopefully lead the Posh back to the Championship?
