Ex-England international one of eight to depart QPR

Ex-England international goalkeeper Robert Green is one of eight players who have been released by Championship side QPR, the club have confirmed.

Clint Hill and Alejandro Faurlin have also been confirmed as two players who will be leaving the London club.

The 36-year-old made over 120 appearances during his four-year stay in W12. The ex-England goalkeeper also set a club record with eight consecutive clean sheets in October 2013.

Faurlin established himself as a firm fan-favourite during his time at Queens Park Rangers. Since making the move from Instituto in Argentina in 2009, the midfielder went onto make 163 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and assisting a further 19.

Another name that many fans will know of is Clint Hill, who will also be departing. Earning the nickname ‘Mr. QPR’, the 37-year-old defender established himself as a regular in the team since making the move from Crystal Palace in 2010. Hill made 185 appearances for the R’s, scoring nine goals and assisting nine.

Also departing the club are Armand Traore, who played a key part in Rangers’ Premier League final day survival away to Manchester City in 2012, Samba Diakite, Yun Suk-Young and Oscar Gobern.
