Leeds United have today suffered a 1-2 home defeat at the hands of already-relegated Charlton Athletic – and fans were understandably disappointed with this result.
The Addicks were coming into this game without a win in their last five games and had just one away win in their last seven outings.
Leeds, who had just one home loss in their last seven games at Elland Road, were hoping to build on their four-unbeaten streak but fell behind early on with Gudmundsson putting the visitors ahead just before half-time.
Lookman doubled Charlton’s lead just after the break and despite Bamba pulling one back for the hosts in the 71st minute, the game would end 1-2 – even though Leeds had triple as many shots as their opponents.
Twitter primarily fell into meltdown due to the Whites defeat costing people money in accumulators, however fans of the club were at a loss to comprehend how Charlton managed to win;

Leeds have managed just two home wins against sides in the bottom 9 of the championship this season. There in lies the problem #LUFC

Many of the fans also bemoaned the fact that Charlton were already relegated and had nothing to play for;
Typical Leeds result that. Last home game of season lose to a relegated side. Embarrassing #lufc

The Whites last game of the season sees them play away at Preston, but can’t finish higher in the league than their current 12th place (unless they win by more than eight goals…!)
