Dunk

Crystal Palace to swoop for Brighton defender

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk is wanted by Premier League side Crystal Palace this summer, according to The Sun.

Dunk has had a very solid season at the back for Brighton and his good form seems to have attracted the attention of Premier League clubs.

Brighton are currently third in the Championship table, but only on goal difference.  Only three goals separate top-of-the-table Burnley from Brighton as the sides head into their final two games of the season.

Dunk has made 39 league appearances for Brighton this season in what has been quite a settled team under Chris Hughton.

Dunk has four years left on his current contract at Brighton, but this hasn’t stopped clubs targeting the defender this summer.  Norwich City are understood to be interested in Dunk, but their targets would change if they are relegated at the end of the season.

It is believed that Palace boss Alan Pardew will definitely bid for Dunk in the summer if Brighton fail to win promotion to the Premier League.
