Wolves youngster linked with Premier League move

Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Dominic Iorfa is being tracked by Premier League club Crystal Palace according to the Express & Star.

Palace were tipped by many to be this season’s surprise package in the Premier League but the club’s form has dipped since the New Year with Palace sitting in 16th position in the table. Eagles manager Alan Pardew will naturally be looking to bolster his squad in the summer with Iorfa believed to be one of the potential targets.

The 20 year old Southend born defender is a product of the academy set up at Molineux. The player made his debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers in December 2014 and has gone on to make 53 appearances for the club. Iorfa has been tipped for a bright future in the game after a promising start to his senior career in the Championship.

Prior to making his debut for Wolves, the player was loaned out to neighbours Shrewsbury Town to gain some first team playing experience and Iorfa enjoyed a seven game spell at The Greenhous Meadow.

A disappointing Championship campaign sees Wolves sitting in the bottom half of the table and while the club will not want to sell one of their brightest stars on the cheap, a significant transfer bid for the player from Crystal Palace could persuade the club to sell the defender to provide manager Kenny Jackett with funds to strengthen his squad over the summer.
