Brighton & Hove Albion secured a second thumping victory in five days after recording a 4-0 success over mid table Queens Park Rangers at The Amex Stadium.

Going into last night’s round of Championship fixtures, Albion trailed second placed Burnley by two points but that gap has now been reduced to just goal difference after The Seagulls’ excellent victory combined with The Clarets’ 1-1 home draw with table toppers Middlesbrough.

A double from Anthony Knockaert and goals from Jiri Skalak and Connor Goldson gave Chris Hughton’s side their comprehensive victory and after the match fans took to Twitter to give their views on their side’s superb performance.

The next round of fixtures see Albion travel to crisis club Charlton Athletic on Saturday while Middlesbrough host Ipswich Town and Burnley travel to bitter rivals Preston North End on Friday evening.
