Brighton & Hove Albion v QPR – Match Preview

The Championship promotion race continues at pace on Tuesday evening when Brighton & Hove Albion face Queens Park Rangers at The Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls go into the match on the back of an excellent 5-0 home demolition of Fulham on Friday and with top two Middlesbrough and Burnley set to go into a head to head battle on the same evening, Albion know that a win would see the club close the gap on at least one of their automatic promotion rivals.

Brighton & Hove Albion go into the match with no fresh injury concerns. Striker Sam Baldock is pushing for a recall after recovering from a hamstring injury but long term casualties Bobby Zamora, Uwe Hunemeier and Solly March remain sidelined.

Mid table QPR make the short journey to the South Coast looking to add to their three match unbeaten record. Defender Cole Kpekawa and striker Jamie Mackie will miss the match through injury while veteran goalkeeper Rob Green remains frozen out of the squad as a result of a contract clause. Hoops manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is expected to rotate his squad with a heavy schedule of league fixtures approaching.

Brighton & Hove Albion go into the match in excellent form having not tasted defeat in 10 Championship fixtures while The Seagulls boast a six match unbeaten streak against opponents QPR in the league.
