Premier League giants plan summer swoop for Dembele

Premier League club Chelsea are said to be considering a summer swoop for Fulham youngster Moussa Dembele according to the Daily Mail.

The 19 year old striker has made a real impact at Craven Cottage this season after scoring 16 goals in 43 appearances for the West London club.

Dembele has a desire to test himself on the Premier League stage and will not sign a new deal with Fulham once his current deal expires in the summer. The player looked set to join Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window but the proposed move collapsed following Fulham’s request to retain the striker until the end of the season on a loan deal.

Spurs are expected to approach the player to a discuss a move to White Hart Lane in the summer but it has now been reported that Chelsea are also planning to offer the player a contract.  A big rebuilding project is expected at Stamford Bridge this summer after a really poor Premier League campaign for The Blues and the signing of Dembele could help improve the club’s attacking options.

Frenchman Dembele graduated through the Fulham academy set up and has a number of French Under 20 international caps to his name.

A number of European clubs are also monitoring the player’s situation with clubs in France, Italy and Germany reportedly interested in the player.
