78-rated Gabonese defender Manga signed for the Bluebirds on deadline day September 1 2014 from French side FC Lorient – a fee in excess of £5m being agreed for the then 26-year-old.

Manga has made 22 appearances for Cardiff this season with 19 starts and three appearances as a substitute. During his appearances this term, the Bluebird’s central defender has scored two Championship goals against Ipswich (a 1-0 Cardiff victory) and Derby (a 2-1 Cardiff victory).

Defensively, over the course of a typical 90 minutes, Manga has produced the following whilst pulling on a Cardiff shirt: 1.5 tackles, 3 interceptions of opponent passes, 6.3 clearances and 1.5 defensive blocks – giving the solid Gabon international a total of 12.3 defensive actions over the course of a typical 90 minutes.

Next in the list is another centre-back, but this time an Englishman.
