Lucy Ward, the ex-head of welfare at Leeds’ Academy has won her case for unfair dismissal against Leeds United, the verdict being delivered today.
Ward had been ostensibly fired from her position at Elland Road, accused of taking time off as her role of commentator for the BBC at the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada, a claim that Ward denied was the real reason behind he dismissal.
As Leeds fans already know, as neutral observers are beginning to gather, nothing is ever straight-forward at Elland Road in there ‘troubled’ days.
