Manchester City youngster on trial with Bees

Manchester City youngster Charlie Albinson is on trial at Championship club Brentford according to Get West London.

The 19 year old Bolton born goalkeeper is currently being assessed by The Bees with a potential move to Griffin Park on the horizon should the youngster impress during his time in West London.

The youngster is out of contract in the summer and Brentford may move to sign the player on a permanent basis if his contract at The Etihad Stadium is not renewed.

Albinson has starred for Manchester City’s Under 18 and Under 21 sides and his good performances helped City reach the FA Youth Cup Final in 2015 where they were defeated by Chelsea.

This season, the youngster has appeared for his club in the UEFA Youth League and has been part of a young Manchester City side which topped their group with six wins out of six before exiting the competition at the Quarter Final stage.

After a strong first half of the season, Brentford have fallen away from the top half of the table and the club will be looking to strengthen in the summer in the hope of a better campaign next season.

Albinson will play for The Bees’ development side in an attempt to prove his worth while Chalfont St Peter youngster Jarvis Edobor is also on trial at the club.
