Nottingham Forest v Brighton & Hove Albion – Match Preview

Nottingham Forest welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to The City Ground this evening with the Midlands club desperate to end their five match winless run.

Stand in Forest manager Paul Williams is yet to taste victory since taking charge of the club last month after Dougie Freedman’s sacking. Forest have drawn one and lost three of Williams’ four matches in charge to date.

The home side go into tonight’s clash with defensive problems. Jack Hobbs is out with injury while Michael Mancienne and Kelvin Wilson face late fitness tests to determine whether they will feature against high flying Albion.

There is some good news for Forest as full back Eric Lichaj returns from suspension and star striker Britt Assombalonga could be included in the squad as he continues his rehabilitation following long term injury.

Brighton & Hove Albion make the long trip north knowing that a victory is required to ensure that they close the gap between themselves and the automatic promotion places after promotion rivals Burnley and Middlesbrough both won their respective fixtures on Saturday.

The Seagulls are currently short of fire power with Sam Baldock and Bobby Zamora both currently out injured. Tomer Hemed is expected to start in attack with experienced midfielder Steve Sidwell set to play a supporting role behind the striker. On loan Manchester United striker James Wilson is likely to be named amongst the substitutes.

Out of form Nottingham Forest face a huge test at The City Ground this evening against an Albion side who have lost just once in their last 14 matches.
