Leeds United vs Rotherham: 5 key battles

5. Lewis Cook vs Lee Frecklington

Veteran against upstart, age against youth – that’s the essence of this match-up and battle. Frecklington is another Miller amongst the goals (3) and assists (4) and that is of course something Leeds  need to be wary of.

However, goals and assists aside, Frecklington might be called upon to assist in helping contain Leeds’ Lewis Cook, a player who likes to track back and help to build from the back with surging runs. Leeds United head coach Steve Evans left Cook out of the starting line-up in the 4-1 defeat at the hand of Huddersfield, regretting this move in post-match interviews. Cook brings an all-action, energetic, driving display to the Leeds game – something that will be needed today.
