One player who might be occupied on that task, the one of looking after the attacking midfielder/forward, could be Liam Bridcutt. The on-loan Sunderland defensive midfielder’s form for the Whites has been such that fans have been clamouring that he be signed permanently.
The Scotland international, whose heavy challenge against Denmark was typical of his rumbunctious approach, has been important in staunching the flow of opposition attacks. Against Rotherham and Danny Ward, this solidity will be needed to help firm up the area in front of Bellusci and Cooper, creating a solid defensive zone.
