League One, A look ahead to Saturday’s League One Games

A look ahead to Saturday’s League One Games

There’s just three games in League One on Saturday, with the other eight being played on Easter Friday.

All three are key games, at the top and bottom of the table.

Burton Vs Oldham – Top of the table Burton welcome relegation threatened Oldham to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday, hoping to build on their six point lead at the top of the table. Their opponents are 22nd, and one point from safety, but have been on a good run of form recently. They have games in hand on their relegation rivals, but will struggle to take anything away from a team who look like they’ll be crowned League One champions.

Bradford Vs Millwall – It would take a brave man to call this one. 7th place Bradford welcome 5th place Millwall to Valley Parade, hoping to close the gap on the teams above them. Both sides are in a good run of form, and know that a win will seriously enhance their chances of reaching the play-offs, whilst damaging the chances of the other. I think both sides will cancel each other out, and the game will end a draw.

Chesterfield Vs Fleetwood – This is a massive game at the bottom of League One. Both sides need the victory to distance themselves from the bottom four. They’ll both believe they’re more than capable of avoiding the drop, but a victory here for either side will enhance those beliefs. It’s a difficult one to call, but I think home advantage could work to Chesterfield’s advantage.
