Gruelling schedule set to test Hull City

Championship automatic promotion chasers Hull City face a gruelling 10 match fixture schedule between now and Easter which will test The Tigers’ promotion credentials to the limit.

Steve Bruce’s side are currently sat in second place in the Championship and trail leaders Middlesbrough by a single point with Hull City currently boasting the division’s best goal difference.

The Tigers are looking good for a rapid return to the Premier League come May however the club are faced with having to play 10 matches in 35 days prior to the Easter period starting with a tough trip to Ewood Park to play an improving Blackburn Rovers outfit tomorrow.

The club’s ongoing FA Cup commitments have resulted in an increase in midweek fixtures with league matches needing to be rearranged to accommodate Hull City’s run to the FA Cup Fifth Round. Steve Bruce’s side welcome fellow promotion chasers Brighton & Hove Albion to The KC Stadium in midweek before a glamour FA Cup Fifth Round tie at Arsenal next weekend.

The Tigers end a difficult month with a trip to Ipswich Town and a home match with Sheffield Wednesday before making the trip to Birmingham City on the first weekend of next month.

March presents City with a range of opposition with Brentford the month’s first visitors to The KC Stadium after the away trip to St Andrews. The Tigers then travel to MK Dons and host Nottingham Forest before their final match before Easter presents the club with a massive promotion showdown at Middlesbrough.

Prior to last weekend’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Burnley, Steve Bruce’s side had won all of their previous 6 matches.
