Paul Gallagher thinks Preston are capable of reaching the top half.

Preston midfielder Paul Gallagher is aiming for the top half of the table ahead of Saturday’s game against Wolves.

North End find themselves within a point of their opponents who currently sit in the top-half of the table, and Gallagher is looking to overtake Wolves, and continue their impressive start to 2016.

“Ever since the start of this season, we’re always looking forward, not looking behind us,” said Gallagher.
“We started the season reasonably well – we probably had too many draws but now if we get three points we go into the top half of the table and closer to the Play-Offs.
“That’s our aim, we want to achieve the best that we can for this football club, it’s been proven that teams coming up from League One can get to the Premier League so why can’t Preston do it, but we’re taking it one game as it comes and we’re not getting too carried away – we’re a very level headed group.”
Gallagher believes that by being in the top half, the confidence of the Lancashire club will grow, and they can begin to dream of reaching the play-offs.
“It gives you a lift. If we win the game and we go into the top half, that confidence comes and winning games breeds confidence.” he said.
Preston’s number 12 currently has four goals this season, but will be hoping to build on that in Saturday’s encounter.
