Bradford City sign West Ham United youngster

League 1 club Bradford City have confirmed that youngster Josh Cullen has signed for the club from West Ham United on an initial one month loan deal according to the Telegraph and Argus.

The 19 year old will stay at Valley Parade until 12 March although the deal could be extended should the midfielder impress during his initial spell with The Bantams.

Bradford City have a good relationship with Premier League outfit West Ham United having already loaned young defender Reece Burke from The Hammers this season. Burke has gone on to star for Phil Parkinson’s side putting in some excellent performances for the League 1 club.

Josh Cullen will be looking to emulate Burke’s success at City. The midfielder is highly rated by parent club West Ham United and the player has already made 3 senior appearances for the Upton Park club. Cullen has appeared on the international stage for the England Under 16s but switched nations to play for the Republic of Ireland and has gone on to represent the greens at both Under 19 and Under 21 levels.

Bradford City are currently sat in 12th position in the League 1 table, 6 points from a Play Off place although The Bantams have games in hand over the sides placed above them. Phil Parkinson’s side travel to London Road to face Peterborough United on Saturday.
