Experienced midfielder calls for focus from Blackpool.

David Norris has called on Blackpool to start picking up points against their closest relegation rivals, as they prepare to face Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.

Pool haven’t lost in four matches, three of which came against teams towards the top end of League One.

Saturday’s game represents the first of three fixtures against sides in the relegation battle, and Norris feels these are even more important than the games against the teams at the top.
“We’ve picked up some good points against the teams at the top but these are the big games for us because we need to create distance on the bottom four,” he said.
“It’s going to need a change of mentality playing teams around us. When you’re playing the top two there’s less pressure, we gave it our all and managed to pick up some results.
“Now it’s the other way around but we need to approach games exactly the same.”
The experienced midfielder has been consistently in the Tangerine’s side this season and recent results have given The Seasiders something to build on, according to Norris.
“Some of our points have been bonus points against the top teams recently.
“We have to get some points on the board in the next few games and it will help us massively towards the end of the season,” Norris added.
