MATCH PREVIEW: Reading v Burnley

Burnley take the trip down south to face Reading on Saturday, hoping to move into the top two of the Championship table.

Burnley are currently 3rd in the table, while their opponents Reading sit in 15th place.

Form:

Burnley are unbeaten in their last six games, including impressive wins over fellow promotion contenders Hull and Derby.

Reading have only won once in their last eight games, and have really struggled against teams in the top half this season.

A win for Burnley could see them move into the automatic promotion places, assuming other results go their way.

Player News:

Both sides are expected to remain unchanged from their previous matches. Lukas Jutkiewicz and Ashley Barnes are both still out injured for the away side.

Key Players:

Gareth McClearly (Reading) – The Reading winger has been in fine form all season, and will hope to continue that at home to a solid Burnley Side. His tenacity on the ball has seen him score some wonderful goals this season, and he’ll be hoping for more success against one of the best defences in the Championship.

Andre Gray (Burnley) – Arguably one of the signings of the season, Andry Gray has been the stand out player for the Lancashire club in this campaign. Joining from Championship rivals Brentford, he’s been prolific in front of goal, and will be hoping to keep his partnership with Sam Vokes as one of the deadliest in the division.

Our Prediction:

Although Reading have only lost three times at home all season, their current form has seen them slide down the table. Burnley are unbeaten in seven, and will see this as a perfect opportunity for three more points. Reading 1-3 Burnley
