Blackpool find themselves in 18th place in the League One table, just three points clear of their opponents.
Martin Paterson (Blackpool) – Fully fit again after being out since December, the Blackpool striker is expected to bring a huge boost to his side’s survival hopes. The experienced frontman is a proven goalscorer, and Blackpool boss Neil MacDonald has every faith that he can contribute throughout the relegation battle.
Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro (Shrewsbury Town) – The front man has struggled in front of goal this season, but has this week been backed my his boss to score the goals that keep Shrewsbury Town in League One. With his manager showing faith in him, this could be the week where Akpa-Akpro comes good for the Shrews.
Both sides lack real quality, and a scrappy affair is expected. Blackpool should have enough in them to see off a Shrewsbury Town side, who may have one eye on next week’s home game against Manchester United. Blackpool 1-0 Shrewsbury Town
