Hull City hot shot sent out on loan

League 1 club Scunthorpe United have completed the loan signing of Hull City striker Greg Luer according to the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

The 21 year old has moved to Glanford Park on a one month loan deal and could make his debut in The Iron’s home match with Southend United on Saturday.

Luer has featured for parent club Hull city on a number of occasions this season, mainly coming off the bench. He has mostly played for the Tigers in the League Cup, scoring twice against Accrington Stanley and Rochdale respectively.

The striker joined Hull City from non-league side Burgess Hill Town. He was immediately loaned out to Port Vale last season, however he failed to find the net in his short stint at Vale Park.

It is understood that a number of lower league clubs have enquired about the possibility of loaning Luer this season including League 2 clubs Oxford United and Stevenage. Scunthorpe United were also said to have been chasing the signing of the striker for the past 3-4 weeks before finally completing a loan move this morning.

Luer will remain at Scunthorpe United until after the rearranged League 1 derby fixture with Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday 8 March although the loan deal could be extended should the striker impress at Glanford Park.
