Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 Bolton Wanderers 2

Championship bottom club Bolton Wanderers produced a spirited comeback as they secured a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Crisis club Bolton Wanderers looked beaten with 10 minutes to go but 2 goals in the last 9 minutes of the contest salvaged a point for the relegation threatened Lancashire club.

The home side took an early lead after just 3 minutes when Bjorn Sigurdarson’s strike was spilt by Trotters keeper Ben Amos and Joe Mason stabbed the loose ball into the net. Wolves added a second 13 minutes from time when James Henry placed a well struck shot into the net.

The 2-0 scoreline was harsh on Neil Lennon’s side who had dominated periods of the match without finding a killer final touch but there was to be an unlikely comeback with less than 10 minutes remaining on the clock. In the 81st minute, the visitors pulled a goal back when Wellington Silva headed the ball into the net and with 3 minutes remaining the comeback was complete when Stephen Dobbie’s expertly taken free kick flew beyond Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme.

Bolton Wanderers’ form has improved in recent weeks with the club having lost just once in their last 4 matches. With the club still cemented to the bottom of the Championship, Neil Lennon’s side must continue their recent improved form if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation.
