MK Dons sign two experienced Championship strikers

MK Dons have been busy in the final minutes of the transfer window and that continues with the signings of two Championship strikers. Alex Revell and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas have both moved to stadiummk from Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers respectively. Revell joins permanently on a free transfer, and Emmanuel-Thomas signs on loan for the rest of the season.

Earlier, Simon Church was allowed to move to Scottish side Aberdeen on loan. Also, right back Lee Hodson has moved to another Scottish club, Kilmarnock, also on loan. Dale Jennings was also allowed to leave the club after his contract was terminated.

32-year-old Revell is certainly a well-travelled individual when it comes to the Football League. He has played for a number of clubs but has found it hard to command a regular place in Russell Slade’s side with the Welsh club. The target man spent time out on loan with Wigan Athletic earlier in the season. He has been allocated the number 11 shirt.

Emmanuel-Thomas is another who has struggled to play regular football in recent times. Since moving to QPR last summer, he has mainly been restricted to performances off the bench. He only really played earlier in the season because of injuries for others. He should fit nicely into the style of play that Karl Robinson wants his MK Dons team to play. He will wear the number 13 shirt.

Both have signed deals with the club until the end of the season.
