Hull City are set to complete an impressive capture of Manchester United youngster Nick Powell on loan as the 21 year-old is currently at the KC Stadium finalising his deal.
Powell is expected to be joining on loan until the end of the season – although his contract at Old Trafford is expiring in the summer.
The former England U21 international has made just three senior appearances for the Red Devils since joining from Crewe in a deal worth £4.5 million in 2012.
A versatile midfielder, Powell was with the Railwaymen for 13 years between 1999 and 2012, and made his senior debut in 2010.
In his two seasons with Crewe, the Englishman scored 14 goals in 55 appearances and drew about praise from England’s top clubs.
Loan spells at Wigan, during the 2013-14 season, and Leicester City during the 2014-15 campaign, have preceded his move to the Tigers.
