QPR set to lose star midfielder to Premier League side

QPR Midfielder Leroy Fer is set to finally leave the side and is expected to sign for Premier League side Swansea City, according to Sky Sources.

The Dutch international joined the West-London outfit in 2014 following a short spell with Norwich City, which ended in relegation back to the Championship, and has since made 45 appearances with his time mostly spent on the sidelines through injury.

Fer, an academy product of Eredivisie giants Feyernoord, has 11 caps for his national team, and raised many eyebrows with his performances in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 26-year-old headed in the winner against Copa America champions Chile, describing it as “one of the best moments of my life”.

QPR currently 13th in the Championship, and have already seen Brazilian International Sandro leave the club in the past week, with owner Tony Fernandez reportedly looking to minimise the grand wage bill at Loftus Road.
