Walsall deny Bradshaw is set to leave

Despite many reports suggesting otherwise, it has since been revealed that Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw is not leaving the club this month. Walsall have confirmed on their official website that no bid has been accepted for the Welsh international, who has been strongly linked with Bristol City.

The 23-year-old has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from the Bank’s Stadium this month. A brief statement on the official club website confirms that any report suggesting a bid has been accepted is ‘categorically untrue’.

It is no secret that interim manager John Pemberton is hoping to sign the striker to bolster his Bristol City squad ahead of the second half of the season. However they look set to be thwarted in their hopes to sign him, unless they could significantly increase their bid – if they even made one at all!

The statement read as follows:

IN LIGHT of recent media speculation, the club wish to place on record that reports claiming a bid for Tom Bradshaw has been accepted are categorically untrue.
The player remains an important part of Sean O’Driscoll’s squad and is key to our promotion push.
Prior to signing at Walsall, Bradshaw made his name with hometown club Shrewsbury Town, leading to the Saddlers signing him for a reported fee of £50,000. If they do sell him, it is fair to say they could command a significant profit compared to what they signed him for!
