Brentford may not have seen last of Jota

Brentford fans may still have not seen the last of Spanish playmaker Jota, reports Get West London.

The midfielder is set to sign for former club Eibar on an 18 month loan deal.

He struck 11 goals for The Bees last season, including a last minute winner against rivals Fulham at home.

The Spaniard was a huge hit in his debut season for the West London club, but has struggled this season since getting injured on the first day of the campaign against Ipswich. He has made a few appearances off the bench, but hasn’t featured at all for the club since before Christmas.

The 24 year old is keen to return to Spain due to personal reasons and Brentford are willing to let him rejoin Eibar. He spent a loan spell at the club before signing for Brentford from Celta Vigo, however, his future at Brentford is still not definitely over.

The Bees have a recall clause in Jota’s loan deal, so they could bring him back to Griffin Park this summer. They also have the option to extend the Spaniard’s contract, which expires in summer 2017, by a further year.
