Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth are looking to sign QPR Star Matt Phillips in the coming weeks, according to the Daily Mail.

The Cherries are on course to survive in the First division of English football, but want to cover up for the horrid loan signing of Christian Atsu, by bringing in the former Blackpool man.

The deal will not be a cheap one, with QPR set to reportedly force Bournemouth into spending £8 million.

The English-born Scottish international signed for the West London outfit in the summer of 2013, and has flourished while kitted in blue and white hoops.

Former Wycombe man Phillips famously scored one of the Premier League’s finest goals of the season during his 2014/15 campaign, with his long range effort against Crystal Palace rifling the top corner.

Phillips has not had the best of seasons so far, scoring four in 26 appearances and not really fulfilling his true potential.

QPR travel to Rotherham on Saturday, and will triumph their first match in a very long time, following an 8 match winless streak.
