Millwall face FA Cup giant killers Oxford United in The Johnstones’ Paint Trophy Southern Area Final First Leg at The New Den on Thursday evening looking to reach Wembley for the first time since their FA Cup Semi Final match in 2013.

Oxford United last appeared under the Wembley arch back in 2010 when they won promotion to the Football League after beating York City 3-1 in the Conference Play Off Final.

Millwall Manager Neil Harris could hand new loan signing Jed Wallace a home debut after starring in The Lions’ 2-1 win at Oldham Athletic on Saturday. Fellow loanee Shane Ferguson has extended his stay from Newcastle United and is again likely to feature.

The South London club will be without defensive duo Carlos Edwards and Tony Craig through injury.

Oxford United Manager Michael Appleton could keep faith with the same starting 11 which caused a historic FA Cup Third Round shock over Swansea City at The Kassam Stadium on Sunday. The U’s have no fresh injury concerns for the short trip to The New Den.

Oxford United arrive in South London having tasted defeat just once in their last 16 outings and promise to provide an improving Millwall outfit with an extremely stern test.
