Portsmouth chase Liverpool starlet

Portsmouth are interested in signing Liverpool starlet Ryan Fulton on loan, reports the Daily Mail.

The Scotland Under 21 international is highly rated at Anfield and signed a contract extension with The Reds in December.

Aberdeen also showed an interest in Fulton after Liverpool recalled Danny Ward, but they are understood to be hunting for a keeper with more experience between the sticks.

However, Portsmouth boss Paul Cook is keen to take Fulton, who is a regular for Liverpool Under 21s.

He has also been on the bench for the first team.

The 19 year old also went on the clubs tour of Thailand, Malaysia and Australia last summer.

He has been with Liverpool since under 10 level and has impressed with excellent communication between the posts.

He has yet to make his first team Liverpool debut.

His addition would be a valuable signing for Portsmouth and give them more depth in goal as they chase promotion from League Two.
