Premier League side to step up Byram interest

Everton are set to up their interest in Sam Byram, according to The Sun.

The Toffees are set to bid for Byram after Seamus Coleman picked up an injury that will keep him out for a month.

The 22 year old right back has been made available as he has just six months left on his contract at Elland Road and has refused to sign a new deal.

Roberto Martinez has long been an admirer of Byram and may now make his move, due to Colemans injury.

Byram is also being watched by Premier League side West Ham and Steve Evans has admitted their is interest in his player from four or five top flight clubs.

The Whites have decided to sell now as opposed to losing him for nothing in the summer, but will still be looking for a reasonable fee.

Owner Massimo Cellino recently said “we only want to sell Byram because he wants to leave. It is less painful.”

Leeds are currently on a seven game unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship and lie 13th in the table, nine points off the play-offs.
