Reading are interested in bringing highly rated Arsenal teenager Alex Iwobi on-loan until the end of the season, according to The Express.

Iwobi, an academy graduate out of London Colney, has made Five appearances for the London outfit this season, only starting on of those in a 4-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday.

The forward, of Nigerian descent, is yet to have gone out on loan from Arsenal, and Derby are reportedly looking to fill in the gap that Nick Blackman left when the 26-year-old joined Derby Country earlier this week.

Many had Reading as promotion favourites early in the season, but it looks like the side will have to settle for another mid table finish this campaign.

The side started the season brilliantly, topping the table for the opening few weeks, but have since slipped and declined massively in form, currently sitting in 12th place.

Reading take on Huddersfield Town in the 3rd round of the FA cup, and will look to match the ability that they had last season, in reaching the final four of the competition.
