Bournemouth interested in Queens Park Rangers target

Bournemouth are interested in signing Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford on loan for the rest of the season, according to a report by The Sun.

Bamford returned to parent club Chelsea last week after his loan spell with Crystal Palace was cut short due to lack of game time with Alan Pardew’s side.  The striker is reportedly keen to go out on loan again however, alerting several Championship clubs.

Chelsea winger Christian Atsu, who was on loan at Bournemouth for the season, has returned to Stamford Bridge after the newly-promoted club terminated the loan deal early.  This means that Bournemouth are now free to sign Bamford on loan as the club would only be allowed to loan one Chelsea player at a time.

Bamford has been linked with several clubs since his return to Chelsea however, and so Bournemouth would definitely face competition for the striker’s signature.  Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and former club Middlesbrough are just some of the names that have been mentioned.
