Blackburn Rovers are targeting Sunderland striker Danny Graham as a possible replacement should Jordan Rhodes leave the club, according to The Sun.
New Rovers boss Paul Lambert is keen to add to his squad and bring in some of his own signings. The current team have lost their last three Championship games and so it is understood that Lambert wants to bring in new faces as soon as possible.
Graham’s deal at Sunderland expires in the summer and it is believed he is free to leave the club during the current transfer window. The striker has scored only one goal for Sunderland but enjoyed more success with Swansea City and Watford.
Jordan Rhodes has been short of chances in the last few Blackburn games leading to questions over whether he fits into Lambert’s system at Rovers. However the Rovers boss recently spoke about bringing players in to help Rhodes out, suggesting he wants to keep hold of the striker.
It has been widely reported that Middlesbrough are interested in signing Rhodes, with any potential deal being around the £12 million mark.
