Swansea City are targeting QPR star man Charlie Austin, according to reports.

The Premier League side are also apparently targeting ex Middlesbrough and Derby loanee Patrick Bamford, who recently cut short his loan deal at Crystal Palace.

Austin has stood out for QPR this season and has bagged nine goals in 16 appearances for The R’s, who have struggled in their first season back in the second tier.

The 26 year old was linked to many top flight sides in the summer transfer window, but no move materialised and he remained a QPR player.

It is now believed Swansea, who lie just above the Premier League relegation zone in 17th place, want Austin to give them more attacking options.

Austin is out of contract in the summer, so QPR may be tempted to sell their prized asset, although he has reiterated his desire to remain at Loftus Road for the remainder of this campaign on a number of occasions.

QPR have struggled in The Championship this season and have so far failed to win a game under new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
