Peterborough secure signature of Bolton full-back

League One side Peterborough United have signed Bolton Wanderers full-back Lawrie Wilson on a one-month loan deal, the club have announced.

The 28-year-old has made the temporary move to London Road five months after joining Bolton on a free transfer from Championship rivals Charlton Athletic.

Wilson has made nine appearances for Bolton this season, eight of those came in the Sky Bet Championship. Previous to this he featured a total of 108 times for Charlton, the majority of those appearances coming in the Championship.

Wanderers find themselves under a transfer embargo which means they will have to let players leave in order to free up wages for new players arriving.

The defender has gone straight into the Peterborough side who face Sheffield United today.

Wilson will be hoping that he can help The Posh’s promotion push, they currently sit in 6th place ahead of this afternoon’s fixtures.
