Fleetwood Mc heads back to Scotland on loan

It’s not a case of lies, sweet little lies but rather Fleetwood Town striker Declan McManus has returned north of the border to Scottish side Morton on loan according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-od was bought by Fleetwood from Scottish Championship side Morton after his goals had helped Morton claim the Scottish League One title. It is to Morton that the youngster returns having failed to break through into the Fleetwood side in the English League One competition. McManus has only featured seven times in the League campaign, scoring one goal in the opening day 1-1 draw with Southend.

McManus is a current Scotland U21 player, making four appearances so far at that level. Confirmation of the loan move was given on the Fleetwood Town website yesterday with everybody at the club wishing the youngster well during his loan which lasts until May 28 – effectively the end of the season.
